區國強(張美君博士丈夫) 美君的一生與這個城市的命脈有很多關連,你可以說這是個巧合,也可以看成一種無名的契約。 美君在1958年出生於香港一個貧困家庭。那時候,香港並非大廈林立的現代城市,美君的家就在一條叫虎尾村的木屋區裡(今天的橫頭磡或富美)。家中有父母親、一個兄長、兩個姐姐。父親曾作地盤工人,後來從事飲食業,主要顧客為低下階層,母親在家裡打理一切。美君和她兩姐姐的感情很好,叫她們二家和三家。
